The T3581 Smart Meter gateway enables you to connect a Smart Meter to HeatingSave without having to install alternate devices to measure gas and electricity. Although the Smart Meter roll-out is happening slowly and a number of Smart Meters cannot replace 3-phase electricity meters, they do represent a good method obtaining quasi real-time usage of gas and electricity.
The T3581 uses the same Zig 2.4 GHz wireless mesh network system as the rest of the HeatingSave Zig 2.4 GHz sensors to provide real-time live smart meter data.
The addition of a T3581 to your HeatingSave monitoring and control system is another method to view energy and utility usage over time. It will enable you to see which devices are most electricity or gas “hungry” and to evaluate how these are affecting your energy bills.
