In countless radiators in houses and businesses are implemented Drayton TRV-3 thermostatic radiators. The latter is in turn composed of Drayton manually-operated TRV head. Nevertheless, the replacement of the head for a modern computer-controlled one, connected to a BMS or similar system, might be pretty expensive. Indeed, considering the nonstandard proprietary thread of around 26.5 mm diameter, it does not fit any automation TRV heads available on the market. Therefore, the solution could be to replace the TRV body, which entails costs associated with the draining of the heating system, the labour costs of the plumbers, and not a few hassles.
