Least energy efficient buildings push up bills significantly, study reveals
Energy efficient buildings in the US use eight times more gas, five times more electricity and four times more oil than the most-efficient ones during the winter months, a new survey reveals.
As a news report on the matter informs us, benchmarking firm WegoWise carried out an extensive analysis of its database containing more than 17,000 buildings and 1.6 million utility bills.
Barun Singh, Chief Technology Officer at WegoWise said: “Winter is coming and it makes a disproportionate impact on inefficient buildings. Owners or managers of inefficient buildings stand to save thousands per month on their winter utility bills simply by bringing their buildings up to average efficiency.”
Following the recent energy price hikes, the UK Government has been very vocal in encouraging householders and businesses to become more energy efficient.
Installing an advanced boiler control and heating management system under one of the government’s schemes is one of the best possible solutions for optimizing energy consumption on the future, and this is exactly where HeatingSave could put its extensive experience to very good use, since our system is capable of easily cutting energy expenditure by 20 to 30%+.
The HeatingSave building energy management system is approved to work and save fuel within the Energy Technology List, which is managed by the Carbon Trust on behalf of the Government. It is also approved by the Department of Energy & Climate Change and the Energy Savings Trust and was specified by the Building Research Establishment for the energy efficient homes retro-fit program, called The Greenhouse Project.
Last, but certainly not least, it’s important to mention that HeatingSave is a component part of the Government’s Green Deal program.
