Householders to get more money for renewable energy products, DECC reveals
The UK government seems to be quite committed to the implementation of extensive renewable energy solutions, since the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has announced an increase in the subsidies available through the Renewable Heat Premium Payment (RHPP) scheme.
As a report on the matter reveals, UK home owners will be able to get through vouchers from the RHPP scheme up to £2,300 for ground source heat pumps, £2,000 for biomass boilers, £1,300 for air source heat pumps and £600 for solar thermal systems.
Energy and Climate Change Minister Greg Barker said:”Over 10,000 householders have already taken advantage of money off renewable heating kit and we want to see even more consumers stepping up to the plate and getting on board.”But I want to go even further. I want to kick start this exciting new market for consumer renewable heat technologies.”
Beside getting higher voucher values, householders will also now be required to undertake a Green Deal assessment before submitting a claim to the Energy Saving Trust to redeem their voucher. In this way, home owners will help householders think about how renewable heat could fit with energy efficiency improvements for their home and ensure they are advised on choosing the right technology for them.
If you’d really like to take advantage of these very interesting incentives, then perhaps it’s also a good idea to consider a system that manages to combine and control them all, while also helping you save money on your energy bills – that’s HeatingSave.
The HeatingSave system allows customers to achieve immediately savings of up to 30%+ on their energy bills. This is achieved by optimizing the energy consumption levels within any building with the help of an advanced heat-loss algorithm that creates a specific profile for any building and based on that, switches heating on later if its warm and off earlier if its cold. It also automatically adjusts your boiler depending on how warm it is outside – save up to another 10%.
Furthermore, the system also offers an advanced automatic occupancy detection system that allows the temperature to reduce to a background when areas are not used and quickly brought up to temperature when they are being used.
