Heating control PC software predicts how much oil is left in the tank
Oil firms have shut down production due to the uprisings in Libya. The country usually produces 1.6 million barrels a day, making it Africa’s third largest producer after Nigeria and Angola. Most of this oil is being exported to Europe. Wintershall, the oil arm of German chemical group BASF, said it was cutting its 100,000 barrels a day output. It is the first time that a significant amount of production has been shut down since the tension started.
Oil shortages will mean price rises, which is bad news during peak winter usage. Oil consumers will relieved to know that up to 30 per cent savings can be made on heating bills through HeatingSave, which counts the minutes each day it switches on and off your boiler or switches on and off your immersion. This is to prove to you it is saving you money over your existing boiler time clock. HeatingSave’s PC software also predicts how much oil is left in the tank for those with oil-fired systems.
