Energy customers could face bills of an extra £55m under new Ofgem tariffs
Energy customers could face bills of an extra £55m in total following a new tariff comparison rate proposed by Ofgem, consumer group Which? claims.
According to a news report, the aforementioned consume group claims that consumers will be advised on their best deal based on medium usage of gas and electricity, but only 26% of consumers use this level of energy.
And, in fact, the remaining customers will actually be directed towards tariffs which could be unsuitable for their usage and would cost them a lot more.
On the other hand, an Ofgem spokesman said the reforms would “deliver a simpler, clearer and fairer energy market for consumers and will make it much easier for consumers to choose the right deal for them”.
If you’re already starting to worry about the higher energy bills brought about by Ofgem’s new tariffs, then you should seriously consider going for a HeatingSave solution, as it will enable you to save between 20 and 30+ percent on heating costs.
This is achieved by optimizing the energy consumption levels within any building with the help of an advanced heat-loss algorithm that creates a specific profile for any building and based on that, switches heating on later if its warm and off earlier if its cold. It also automatically adjusts your boiler depending on how warm it is outside – save up to another 10%.
Furthermore, the system also offers an advanced automatic occupancy detection system that allows the temperature to reduce to a background when areas are not used and quickly brought up to temperature when they are being used.
