Beat winter domestic oil shortages with HeatingSave boiler efficiency savings
Energy Minister Charles Hendry says more heavy snow over Christmas could lead to “very serious” shortages of domestic heating oil. Already for this weekend (Saturday, December 18 and Sunday, December 19) the Met Office has issued severe weather warnings for the whole of the UK, added to the sub-zero temperatures experienced over the past month. One Lanarkshire, Scotland resident said every company she has tried is saying that they can’t guarantee oil delivery before Christmas.
Those customers running low on oil reserves for their heating can cut fuel use by as much as a third by replacing your central heating clock with a HeatingSave controller. At the heart of HeatingSave is a state-of-the-art microprocessor connected to a number of temperature sensors measuring the external outside temperature, room, hot water tank and heating flow and return temperatures. It uses this to constantly calculate how to improve the efficiency (and savings) of your boiler and central heating system. For those with oil-fired systems HeatingSave’s PC software predicts how much oil is left in the tank.
